The dog version of Bernie’s Perfect Poop is safe and has been effective for some cats. However, we have found that cats are less often fans of the taste and crunchy texture. Because of this we aren’t able to offer our Flavor Swap or Satisfaction Guarantee for cat usage.
While not explicitly designed for cats, Perfect Poop contains safe ingredients that should provide similar benefits for feline friends. However, cats’ picky eating habits can make palatability a challenge. Some cat lovers have successfully introduced Perfect Poop into their cats’ diets by mixing it with flavors they enjoy, such as wet food or broth.
Given their smaller size, cats only require a small amount, so we suggest starting with the smallest bag size when trying it out. Typically, a cat will only need 1-2 teaspoons per day, if that. Interestingly, some cat parents have observed their cats, who enjoy the flavor, seem to intuitively know how much Perfect Poop they need. These cats self-select their serving size by nibbling here and there from some Perfect Poop provided in a dish separate from their meal.
While we’re continuously expanding as a small business, we haven’t yet tailored our products specifically for cats. However, we’re optimistic about the potential to offer products catering to both cats and dogs in the future.
